Defensive Pistol Skills Refresher

Course Description: Refresher training on Texas LTC plus 150 rounds of shooting (50 rounds coaching, 50 rounds NRA CCW qualification test, 50 rounds LTC shooting test)

Graduates of Defensive Pistol Skills 1 or higher level courses will run the LTC shooting test starting with the pistol holstered, using an IDPA or KRT-2 target instead of the state-mandated B-27.

This class will also include shooting the NRA's CCW course of fire and students will earn an NRA CCW course certificate for attending.

This class also meets state requirements for the completion of the online License to Carry Handgun course.

Topics: Update on current Texas gun laws, dry fire shooting practice, shooting drills / coaching. LTC qualification, NRA CCW qualification.

Prerequisites: Texas License to Carry. Completion of Defensive Pistol Skills 1 or other course in which drawing from a holster is required strongly recommended.

Required Equipment: A centerfire handgun, belt holster, a minimum of 2 spare magazines or speedloaders, magazine/speedloader carriers, eye and ear protection, a baseball cap (to deflect spent brass and keep the sun out of your eyes) and a minimum of 150 rounds of ammunition.
