PUBLIC RANGES, AUSTIN AREA

Eagle Peak Shooting Range (267-1400), 20300 Lindeman Lane off Hwy 1431. Open daily 10 am - 8 pm. Rifle, pistol, and shotgun ranges.

Red's Indoor Range North (512-251-1022), 516 FM 1825 West, Pflugerville, TX 78660. Open daily 9 am - 9 pm. 100 yd indoor range including a special area with computerized moving targets. Memberships, LTC classes.

Shady Oaks Gun Range (512-394-7734) 3100 Woodall Rd, Cedar Park, TX 78613. Mon-Fri 10am-8pm, Sat 9am-8pm, Sun 11am-6pm. 25 yard and 50 yards indoor rifle and pistol range. Gun rental, pro shop, LTC classes.

Capitol City Trap and Skeet Club (272-4707), 8707 Lindell Ln open Wed-Sun, Noon-dark. Skeet, trap, sporting clays, crazy quail,wobble trap, 5 stand.

Lone Star Gun Range 3795 Dry Creek Road   Lockhart, Texas 78644 Office-1-512-801-2624 Fax-1-512-398-9088  John Sizemore. Pistol range,100 yd rifle range, Fri-Sun, other days by appointment.

Copperhead Creek 6 miles South of Marble Falls on Hwy 1431. 7030 E. FM 1431, Marble Falls, Texas 78654 (830) 265-4950 100 yard, 300 yard rifle range, 25 yard pistol range, skeet, trap, archery. Full club house, NRA instructors on staff as well as Texas Parks and Wildlife Hunter Education. Only 30 minutes from South Austin.

The Firing Line - 10 minutes north of Georgetown on FM 972 east off IH35 and west of Walburg, TX. The facility has multiple tactical bays for pistol, rifle and shotgun use, a standard 25, 50 and 100 yard commercial shooting range, and a LTC bay available for rent. The 25, 50 & 100 yard Ranges are available to Members & their guests at all times. Tactical Bays A-E are available to Members & their guests for $10.00 per use when not otherwise reserved or in use by Instructors & organizations.

Texas Shooting Academy - 300 US Highway 183. Florence, Texas 76527 Office: 512-489-2061 Cell: 512-966-6118. Take 183 North past CR 138 (Florence) and 0.25 mile past CR 243 (Burnet) on the left. 2 pistol bays with 10 lanes. 2 rifle bays with 12 leans. 1 shotgun bay with an electric shotgun trap thrower. 10 position LTC bay (for instructors only). 17 position training bay. Law Enforcement/military discount. Men's, women indoor bathrooms. Coming soon: 10 ft platform for archery practice (simulated tree stand), 6 competition bays.

Fayette County Gun Club 3.5 miles north of La Grange on Highway 77. Open Tues, Thurs and Sat. Hours vary with season. Check their website for more information. Pistol, Rifle, Skeet, Trap and Country Doubles ranges. Rifle ranges go out to 300 yards. Memberships available.

Lonestar Range & Academy (512-516-7640), 10000 N. Hwy 183, off Hwy 183 north of Austin past Seward Junction, 6 days/week. 25 yard pistol, 25 yard .22 cal, 100 yard rifle, tactical range, clay thrower ranges.   $15/day per shooter. Formerly known as Stan's Guns and Range.

Cedar Ridge (830-980-4424). Previously known as La Paloma, just north of San Antonio. 7110 FM 1863 Bulverde TX 78163, 2 miles west of the 3009 intersection on the way toward Bulverde (map). Closed Mon-Tue, open Wed-Fri noon-dusk, Sat-Sun, 9-dusk. Sporting clays, 5-stand, rifle and pistol ranges.

Central Texas Rifle and Pistol Club near Waco, has monthly matches at its outdoor range on Range Road, off Wortham Bend Road (FM 2490) near China Spring, TX. Regular matches include IPSC Pistol, .22 Junior Rifle, CMP High Power Rifle, NRA Bullseye, Black Powder, .22 Silhouette, Int'l Rimfire 50/50 and Ladies Handgun. Matches are open to the public (club membership not required to compete). NRA membership required to join the club.

CCC Shooting Complex - training and competition facility between College Station and Navasota.
