Position: Assistant Instructor

Teaches: all levels of rifle courses

Assists with : Basic Pistol, Shotgun and Rifle classes and all of the Advanced Training courses (1-5).

NRA Certifications: Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, Home Firearm Safety, and Personal Protection in the Home Instructor, Range Safety Officer.

Other Certifications: Texas Concealed Handgun License, National Special Investigator License, Texas Teacher Certification, Public School Management Certification.

Memberships: National Rifle Association, Texas State Rifle Association, National Association of Investigators & Inspectors, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Marine Corps Association.

(Bear) Bailey is a recognized state Special Investigator and Data Examiner, and has presented at numerous state and national conferences and seminars.  He is also a certification instructor for the National Association of Investigators & Inspectors.

Military: Marine Corps Force Recon, Vietnam Veteran.

Recent: Bear wants to specialize his instructional focus in the uses of the Personal Carbine, and Precision Long Rifle, and is pursuing advanced training and studies to augment his extensive experience with these tools.

Personal: Bear lives in Bastrop County, with his wife, Cheryl, who is a frequent student at KR Training. A former high school football coach, Principal and Scout Master, Bear enjoys working with youth and beginners in the shooting sports and has served in volunteer programs such as the Boy Scouts, 4H, and Texas Parks and Wildlife Expo..
