Civilian Response to Active Shooter Event
Course Description: Participants will learn about the shooters, disaster response and how to prepare for and respond to being trapped inside a building during an active shooter event. They will learn steps to take to assist law enforcement and to limit casualties. Train citizens in the fundamentals of active shooter response. The course was developed by the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Center at Texas State University. ALERRT was named the national standard in active shooter training by the FBI.
This class is suitable for all audiences (armed and unarmed personnel).

This course can be paired with a 2 hour Stop the Bleed seminar intended to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
