Due to high demand for the Defensive Pistol Skills course we added another session of this popular class. It covers about 1/2 of the material in our AT-1 course. The emphasis in this course is close range defensive shooting skills in the 0-5 yard zone, with heavy emphasis on learning good technique for a rapid draw from concealment.

We've paired it with our Beyond the Basics course, which covers techniques for improving speed and accuracy in the 5-15 yard zone. If you've already taken Basic Pistol 2 and/or Defensive Pistol Skills, Beyond the Basics is an excellent follow up course.

We'll be offering Basic Pistol 2 on April 4th for those BP1 graduates (and others) that are ready for the next course in our training sequence. Howard Nemerov and Grace Garne are also running another NRA Women on Target event at Tom Schaefer's range on April 25.

We'll be offering another 3 day block of NRA instructor training in May. The first day (Friday) will cover the basic instructor training and Home Firearm Safety training. Depending on student requests we will offer Pistol, Rifle or Shotgun instructor on Saturday and Sunday. The Airsoft "force on force" (FoF) instructor course originally scheduled for February has been moved to June 27-28. During the course, Airsoft FoF instructor trainees will design scenarios and learn how to conduct FoF training. On Sunday, June 28th, the instructor trainees will run a short course that will be open to a limited set of students. This will provide students a low cost opportunity for scenario training similar to AT-2 and provide instructor trainees an opportunity to practice their teaching skills with supervision.
