NRA CCW Course

Course Description: This class covers some modules from the NRA CCW course and is intended for Texas License to Carry holders wanting nationally standardized training beyond the state minimum.

This course can be counted as equivalent to Defensive Pistol Skills 3 toward requirements for the KR Training Defensive Pistol Skills program challenge coin.

Topics: Firearm Safety, Drawing from Concealment, Loading and Stoppage Remediation, Mindset, Responding to an Attack and the Aftermath, Carry Modes and Pistol Concealment.

Length: 8 hours

Prerequisites: Texas License to Carry Handgun or carry permit from another state.

Required Equipment: A centerfire handgun, a minimum of 2 spare magazines or speedloaders, eye and ear protection, a baseball cap (to deflect spent brass and keep the sun out of your eyes, a minimum of 300 rounds of ammunition, a belt holster and concealment garment.
